Krysta Battersby is the Program Director for the McNulty Scholars Program at Hunter College. She is a pre-college and college professional adept in advising and leading programming that cultivate belonging and increase retention. Attending Lafayette College as a POSSE scholar sparked her interest in assisting female-identified students and students of color who show an interest in STEM. In 2024, she completed her Doctorate in Education at NYU Steinhardt. She researched best practices to support women of color in STEM fields and industries and identified ways that STEM faculty can better support their student’s career goals. She has been instrumental, behind the scenes, in ALL of De Angela’s symposia except for #Batdance30ATL at Spelman College.
