Lee is an award-winning frontman/musician/songwriter, record/radio/short film producer, music industry professional & consultant, Journalist/Presenter/Interviewer and Prince Devotee. He holds qualifications in music production & sound engineering, sync(h), music management & pr and mental health in the music industry. He spends most of his time helping artists with creative or business processes, exposure or careers in an increasingly difficult industry. His indie label Quickfix Recordings and monthly radio show The Fix on London listener/DJ supported Totally Wired Radio both showcase underground artists.

Over more than 30 years, between his solo work and bands Smilex and The Prohibition Smokers’ Club plus many more projects, Lee has released about 20 albums, hundreds of songs and played hundreds of gigs & festivals, gaining fans including Skunk Anansie, The Damned, Xfm, MC Lars, Kellindo Parker, Adamski, Jennie ‘Bellestar” Matthias and more. Behind the scenes, he has collaborated with thousands of artists from beginner to 80’s & 90’s chart toppers on a myriad of different projects and held most job descriptions the industry has to offer. He’s visited many countries and lived in a few, giving him a unique experience and broad perspective on the business and creative. Lee also makes short films with his filmmaker wife Grace and produced an anthology for free comic book day.

“I have been a Prince fan since I heard the end solo of Let’s Go Crazy in my Dad’s car when he bought the Purple Rain album in 1984. I was 8 years old. I’m a 90’s & 00’s fan club member. I saw 17 shows from 1992-2015 including one after show (with Amy Winehouse as a guest) and also attended a themed club night from 10pm til 6am where he did not play but did give us a wave. I own most Prince material ever released and a whole lot that never was – this one DVD lasts 4 days if you leave it running! I have covered many obscure Prince songs, and he’s been a constant well of inspiration and a high bar to aspire to. He once made a funny face at me too, during an intimate gig where I was very close to the front.”
